Opposites can't breed!
In our DragonVale coverage, we focus a lot on Limited dragons – and Limiteds should always be your first priority. However, if you are chasing the 'Every Last One' Achievement you are going to need to make your way around to breeding opposite hybrids. There are also Goals for breeding Blue Fire and Sandstorm, and aside from Epics some of the opposite hybrids are among the best DragonCash earners. So there are plenty of reasons to want one, there is just one problem – opposite elements can't breed!
This application includes a Breeding Calculator and other assistant tools for the game DragonVale. Simply select the two types of Dragons and the Breeding Possibilities will be shown in the table. DragonVale, like all breeding games have multiple combinations; Only the most efficient combination have been listed below. There are probably other combinations. When you add an extra element into the combination, more than the elements required by the dragon, you increase the odds of other dragons.
Fastest Combinations
The trick is, you'll need to breed other hybrids to create opposite hybrids – since the basic dragons can not be bred. Consistent with our philosophy on providing the fastest breeding combinations to hatch each dragon, below is a summary of each Opposite Hybrid and the fastest combination to obtain it.

Epic breeding is epically hard!
There are a special class of dragons in DragonVale, that are so rare that each one is an achievement to acquire in and of itself. If you like actual Achievements you'll need to breed epics for 'Every Last One' and 'Double Rainbow All the Way!' Similarly there is a Goal for obtaining the Rainbow Dragon called 'Raised the Rainbow'. If that wasn't enough, certain Epic dragons are decidedly the best DragonCash generators in the game due to their high earn rates and large habitat capacities.
Fastest Combinations
Oh, so you want teh Epics then, do you? Well prepare to grit your teeth and wait a LONG TIME! Epics are earned with patience mixed with tenacity, a dollup of frustration, and just a dash of purest suffering. You have to really want a given Epic to get it, and even then it is going to take a while.
